I absolutely LOVE Christmas cookies.
This year, we were excited about our son’s first Christmas, so we actually put up our tree on November 1!
(And of course celebrated with Christmas cookies.)
I have since had a lot of Christmas cookies and I wanted to share my 3 tips for enjoying Christmas cookies without feeling guilty with you:
Tip #1: Freeze Raw Cookie Dough Balls. It takes basically the same amount of time to make 3 cookies as it does 30. I don’t know about you, but if cookies are made, I will eat them.
Then you can bake them on demand. When your “batch” is 2 cookies vs. 2 dozen cookies, you don’t have to feel bad about eating them all in an hour. 😉
Also, then you can save time by making all of your dough at once! AND you can enjoy fresh baked cookies every time.
What could you do with that extra time?
Tip #2: Make Smaller Cookies. I don’t know about you, but eating 3 cookies is more satisfying than eating 1.
(Even if they have the same amount of dough.)
If you make smaller cookies you can splurge without feeling sick.
Tip #3: Hide the Cookies. If I put the cookies where I will see them all day, I will inevitably eat all of them…
Why put yourself in a place where you will constantly be tempted? You have enough to deal with during the day.
Set yourself up for success and store them in a closed container out of sight.
Live fit and feel great this Christmas season, but don’t forget to savor every bite and enjoy the good stuff sometimes.
If you are looking for something a little lighter, I wanted to share some new recipes with you!
